Donate to the Clan Munro Association
We would welcome any donations to the Clan Munro Association Australia & New Zealand.
Donations may be used for operating costs, contribute towards charity and conservation efforts undertaken by the Association in the Scottish Highlands or go towards the upkeep and maintenance of our ancestral seat of Foulis Castle.
Operating costs are used for materials that will help gain new members, modernise and keep the Association running for future generations.
We have a long history of supporting charities such as the Red Cross, with many members involved in the organisation’s founding and running in Australia and the UK. Each year a charity luncheon is held at Foulis Castle to raise money for the Red Cross. Annually, Foulis Castle also hosts The Daffodil Tea garden party and invites a different charity each year to be the benefactor.
The Clan Munro Association also uses funds to promote and preserve highland heritage and support conservation programs for wildlife and habitats.
In 2013 for example the Association, worldwide, donated £15,000 to help open the Highlander’s Heritage Museum in Fort George that showcases the Scottish military regiments that the Clan Munro helped form and that many members of the clan have served in. The Clan Munro Association has also supported the restoration of ancient woodland and has been involved in a range of conservation initiatives, including the protection of rare species such as the red squirrel and the pine marten.
